Nora Matthew is the founder of and passion behind Pregna-Fit and Mama Strength. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (August 2010) and mother of 3 little boys. Nora first started training student athletes in 2010 in a strength and conditioning gym, became proficient in Olympic lifting in 2011, and has since gained experience with various types of clients at every age and stage of life. Nora's real love in the training industry is with pre & post natal mothers.
Nora had her first baby in 2012 and was struck by the lack of concrete information available to pregnant women about working out during pregnancy. This motivated her to undertake her first Pre & Postnatal Exercise Prescription (Lifetime Fitness) certification course in the United Kingdom in 2013. She started her first pregnancy fitness class whilst living in Scotland from January 2014-August 2014 when she and her family moved back to Upstate New York. In December 2014, Nora became certified in Pre & Postnatal Pilates through the Center for Women's Fitness. She's since studied with Burrell Education, Julie Weibe, and Perform Better/FMS. Pregna-Fit™ was born in November 2014 based on a fusion of strength and conditioning, birth preparation, mobility, pelvic floor strengthening & relaxation, and core training.
Nora truly believes that the right measure of nutrition, rest, and exercise will go a long way to a happy, healthy conception, pregnancy, and postpartum healing.
